Trekking to Simien Mountains
The Simien Mountains National Park is one of the world heritage sites.
The dramatic landscape is a result of ancient volcanoes. The Simien Mountains are made up of several
Chain Mountains and plateaus, including the highest peak Ras Dashen, 4620m above sea level. It is the
home of endemic mammals, birds and plant species. It is the only place to spot the endemic Walia Ibex.
